We are currently seeking a Electronics Research Engineer based at our Portishead site to support the company’s core IP development, including:

– Advanced electronics circuit modelling and simulation.

– Advanced DSP algorithms research and development.

– Proof of concept PCS design.

– Rapid electronic prototyping and testing.

The role will also be responsible for:

– Plan and lead complex product research and development activities.

– Carry out engineering design and document reviews.

– Mentor and coach junior member of staff within the department.

– Manage 3rd party research collaborations.

As the perfect fit for this role, you’ll bring advanced knowledge of electronics and circuit design capabilities, complemented. Your ability to work with circuit modelling, simulation software, and hands-on electronics will be pivotal in transforming ideas into tangible prototypes. Your strong independent learning skills and proficiency in technical communication will ensure your contributions are well-documented, adhering to engineering standards. If you have experience with digital signal processing, expertise in embedded software development, a grasp of reflectometry-based technologies (e.g., TDR, STDR, SSTDR, FDR), or knowledge of communication theories, it’s a bonus!
