The event had a great turn-out with a total of 110 delegates attending both days of the conference. Attendees represented 36 different subsea-related organisations from 8 different countries, including Viper’s Subsea Sales Manager James Carnegie and Perth-based Sales Consultant Paul Upjohn.

The event kicked off on the evening of Tuesday 25th with an Ice-Breaker session on board The Raft Perth, which gave attendees the opportunity to network with fellow subsea professionals.

The conference itself began on Wednesday 26th with a ‘Welcome to Country’ performed by Whadjuk Native Vaughn McGuire. Two full days of conference followed, with presentations and panels from industry leaders in the subsea controls and oil/gas industry, including a through-provoking discussion around reducing carbon intensity in subsea operations.

On day 2, Viper’s James Carnegie presented on ‘Catastrophic Failures in Long Umbilicals’, which discussed the common issues faced by subsea operators and Viper’s innovative solutions.

The conference concluded with closing drinks which allowed delegates to exchange more ideas and knowledge before they bid each other farewell.
