Viper Subsea Nominated for Four Business Awards

January 15, 2014

Viper Subsea has been named as a finalist in the Subsea UK Business Awards 2014 as well as being shortlisted in three categories for the Offshore Achievement Awards 2014.

Both of these prestigious Awards recognise technical excellence in the industry with Viper Subsea being shortlisted in the Innovation & Technology category within the Subsea UK Business Awards for its latest product the V-LIFE. This Innovation & Technology Award recognises excellence by a company in developing new technology, bringing it to the market and in particular a company that can prove its technology has increased revenue and provided a solution to an existing problem.

Within the Offshore Achievement Awards 2014 the three categories Viper Subsea has received nominations are – Great Small Company Award, Innovator Award and the Safety in Innovations Award. Again, two of these Awards specifically recognise the contribution Viper Subsea’s V-LIFE is making to the industry in providing technical and cost saving solutions to insulation resistance problems.

Neil Douglas, Managing Director of Viper Subsea said “We are really proud to see our technology being recognised by the industry and to receive these shortlists is an excellent endorsement of both our products and the quality of our subsea engineering team. The V-LIFE is the result of our in-house research programme and is a truly innovative and unique product that, when fitted to ageing subsea systems with water ingress problems, restores the insulation resistance of the umbilical and the subsea electrical distribution system. By being able to extend the life of umbilicals, cables and connectors, we substantial reduce the need for subsea repair work and equipment replacement which potentially will save our industry millions.”
