Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Viper is about action. Across workplace, environment, community, and governance, we aim to make a positive difference. We treat people fairly, support health and wellbeing, and create a culture where bright minds work together to solve real challenges.
We run our business with integrity and follow all standards and legislation. Environmentally, we’re working toward carbon neutrality, cutting our footprint, and supporting carbon sequestration projects to offset what’s left.

At Viper, we know happy, healthy people do their best work — so wellbeing is central to everything we do. From fresh fruit in the office to weekly yoga, monthly massages, and our confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), we offer support that makes a real difference.
We also encourage healthy, sustainable choices with our cycle-to-work scheme, provide private healthcare, and host regular events to bring the team together and support each other.

At Viper, we believe in giving back to our communities. We support local, educational, and environmental initiatives, and get involved in events like May Walking Month, litter picking, and Macmillan Coffee Morning, as well as supporting our charities of the year.
Over the past five years, we’ve reduced electricity usage per employee and invested in energy-saving equipment and office infrastructure. While improving energy efficiency remains key to our carbon neutral goals, electricity use per employee may rise temporarily as we switch our pool cars to electric vehicles.

We reinvest in research and development, sales, and marketing to strengthen innovation and market reach, while investing in stock and our supply chain to ensure continuity and minimise disruption. Alongside this, we maintain strong financial controls, reliable cash flow, and ethical business practices, promoting responsible sourcing, product reliability, and the highest standards of compliance across our operations and supply chain.

In July 2021, Viper purchased 31.5 acres near Stogumber, West Somerset, including 14.5 acres of woodland and 17 acres of pasture, with both mature and younger trees and a small stream.
The land supports our carbon sequestration goals, helping offset Viper’s footprint and contribute to the UK’s 2050 net zero target. In partnership with the Forestry Commission, we’ll plant over 9,000 trees, rewild one field with wildflowers, and preserve an existing orchid bank.
This project expands woodland, enhances biodiversity, and creates a protected habitat for wildlife.
