Finance Leader James Edgell Joins Viper Innovations

Viper Innovations, the global engineering specialist delivering intelligent electrical integrity solutions for industrial and subsea systems, today welcomes James Edgell as Finance Director, joining the Board with immediate effect.
This appointment follows recent leadership changes, with Edward Davies moving into the role of Chairman, Hugo Mansfield stepping up from Finance Director to Managing Director, and Hugh Clayton joining as Engineering Director. Together, the refreshed leadership team is set to accelerate Viper’s ambitious growth strategy while ensuring intelligence is installed across every aspect of the business.
James joins at a pivotal moment, bringing a wealth of financial and operational experience gained at Shiner, Alliance Pharma, and OVO Energy, where he worked across businesses of similar scale and international reach. In his new role, James will lead all financial activity across the Group—covering budgeting, forecasting, planning, and stakeholder management—while strengthening the finance team as a strategic partner in delivering intelligent solutions. He will also support key initiatives, from investment decisions to financial modelling and continuous development of systems and processes, ensuring that smart decision-making and efficiency are embedded throughout Viper.
