Overview
Our SSTDR S100 is a fully engineered, credit card-sized, board-level fault detection engine designed to identify and locate electrical faults in live systems. Using Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry (SSTDR) technology, we continuously monitor cables and wiring for short circuits, opens, arc faults, and impedance changes—without interrupting operation.
Designed for OEMs, system integrators, and operators, the S100 delivers accurate fault detection across cable lengths ranging from metres to kilometres. By providing real-time visibility and data-driven fault insight, we enable faster maintenance response, help prevent downtime, and support safe, reliable electrical operation across a wide range of applications.

Our SSTDR S100 represents a step change in live fault detection and electrical safety. Built around Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry technology, we emit a coded, low-voltage signal along conductors and continuously analyse reflections to identify and locate faults—even while power is flowing.
Unlike traditional TDR systems, we enable safe, continuous operation on live electrical networks without shutdown or disconnection. The S100 detects open circuits, short circuits, arc faults, and impedance changes, while also identifying intermittent or developing faults that are difficult to capture using conventional methods.
Compact and credit card-sized, the S100 is a fully engineered, board-level detection engine designed for straightforward integration into OEM equipment or larger diagnostic systems. Multiple modules can operate on the same conductors without interference, supporting cable lengths from a few centimetres to several kilometres.
In the rail sector, we integrate SSTDR technology into our CableGuardian system, enabling accurate fault detection and location across more than one million metres of signalling power cable. Combined with V-LIM insulation monitoring, this creates a complete monitoring and fault-management ecosystem that improves safety, reduces downtime, and supports proactive maintenance.
