Overview
The V-SLIM is a compact, high-precision electrical line integrity monitor designed to deliver continuous insulation resistance measurement in ungrounded (unearthed) and floating electrical systems. Originally developed for subsea control and distribution networks, we now apply the same precision and reliability across multiple industries that require real-time visibility of electrical condition.
Unlike traditional topside LIMs, which measure insulation resistance from a single point, we use V-SLIM to provide localised monitoring throughout the electrical network. Topside devices may not capture the full electrical landscape, leaving blind spots where insulation degradation can go undetected. By placing intelligence closer to potential fault sources, V-SLIM brings these hidden risks into view.
Installed locally within the network, V-SLIM measures both total system and downstream insulation resistance, revealing overlooked integrity issues and emerging risks before they escalate. Trend monitoring over time supports preventative maintenance and optimised scheduling. The range includes the V-SLIM Canister for subsea environments and the V-SLIM Eurocard PCBA for embedded and OEM integration, both engineered for long-term performance in demanding conditions.
