Viper Innovations Showcases Cutting-Edge Subsea Solutions at Subsea Expo 2025

Viper Innovations exhibited, presented, and sponsored an award at the Global Underwater Hub’s Subsea Expo in Aberdeen from February 18–20. The event brought together thousands of delegates and 130+ exhibitors, focusing on the transition to renewable offshore energy.
Highlights from the three day exhibition event included interviews from Viper’s Sales Manager Greg Maclachan with Global Underwater Hub and OGV Energy, a joint presentation on subsea battery-powered control systems with J+S Subsea and Verlume, and Viper’s Engineering Manager Daniel Dennings’ talk on managing subsea asset integrity. We also launched a fun stamp quest in collaboration with J+S Subsea and Verlume – where attendees visited all three of our stands to collect stamps for a chance to win a bottle of whisky.
As Gold Sponsors of the drinks reception at OGV Taproom, we introduced our custom Vi-PA beer, which sold out quickly. We were also proud to sponsor the Company of the Year (Over 50 Employees) award at the esteemed Subsea Expo Awards, having won it ourselves last year. Revolutionising Subsea Cable Integrity
At the event, Viper Innovations highlighted its state-of-the-art technology ecosystem, which integrates intelligent monitoring and active cable management to safeguard subsea infrastructure. The company’s suite of solutions—including V-LIM, V-LIM2, V-SLIM, and PlatformVi—equips operators with powerful tools to proactively identify and address potential issues, ensuring the reliability and longevity of critical assets.
Our Viper representatives walked attendees through the suite of solutions, using an interactive system diagram to illustrate how Viper’s technology seamlessly integrates with existing infrastructure.
“Our technology provides operators with the tools to identify and address issues proactively, restoring cable health before failures occur,” Greg Maclachan explained in his interview with OGV energy. “By combining precise real-time monitoring with active cable healing, V-LIFE safeguards production, reduces maintenance costs, and extends cable lifespans.”
A Closer Look at Viper’s Subsea Solutions
At the demo area, attendees were given an exclusive look at our latest generation Line Integrity Monitor; V-LIM2. This enhanced version builds on the trusted capabilities of V-LIM, offering improved monitoring, power insights, and a more user-friendly interface. Once installed, systems become V-LIFE Ready, allowing operators to future-proof electrical integrity with the ability to switch on V-LIFE for IR recovery and protection—helping to prevent faults, mitigate risk, and avoid costly unplanned interventions.
The PlatformVi Dashboard was also demonstrated, showcasing how it works alongside V-LIM and V-LIM2 to give operators an easy-to-use assessment and management tool for electrical system health. Using intelligent algorithms and intuitive insights, PlatformVi supports data-driven decision-making, including the automation of IR recovery.
