Viper Exhibits at Leading US Subsea Event

March 13, 2024

In alignment with Viper’s ambitious growth strategy in America, Houston-based President Jamie Carrig and team members from both the Portishead and Aberdeen offices attended and exhibited at the Subsea Tieback Forum and Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas. This activity further strengthens Viper’s presence in the region, following the opening of their US-based subsidiary, Viper Innovations Inc, in 2023.

Welcoming around 1500 registrants from 18 countries, including 80 exhibitors, the event’s main theme focused on delivering the future of subsea energy in the region, with popular presentation topics including considerations for life extensions, new technologies, and the role of digitalisation. Overall, the mood was upbeat and there was a confident outlook towards the future of the Gulf of Mexico as a key global energy provider.

The event boasts being “the industry’s leading platform for information exchange, networking opportunities and new business development in the deepwater subsea tieback market. Companies choose Subsea Tiebacks as the industry’s premier platform for connecting with key decision-makers worldwide.

Subsea Tiebacks’ firm foundation is its conference program. The audience is comprised of field supervisors and operations planning personnel, as well as engineering staff and management. The content addresses new operational issues, challenges, and solutions associated with global deepwater subsea operations. Dialog among strategic decision makers is facilitated through focused presentations, extended question and answer sessions, and networking. This exchange of knowledge represents experiences, applications, and current, real-world project examples.”

On the first day of the event, Jamie and Thomas took part in the networking golf tournament at The Quarry Golf Club. It was a great day of golfing and networking in the San Antonio sun!

The team also enjoyed evening networking events hosted by Proserv and a joint event by Glenair, Ram Alloys, Sulmara, Imenco, SH Group, Apex Subsea, Ocean Edge, Seahorse Energy, TTLSubsea, Walther Prazision, and Anchor Fluid Power.

Jamie commented: “It was a very successful event and I’m already looking forward to the next one! The conference sessions were well-attended with some very interesting topics. Being able to meet new and existing connections face-to-face over the few days of the event was invaluable and the opportunity to exhibit helps to support our presence in the region.”

A huge thanks and well done to Endeavor Business Media for organising such a great few days of conference and exhibiting, and a big thanks also to everyone we met during the event or at the many networking evenings!
