The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of Phase 3 of our Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC) programme, introducing a sales phase into BC ahead of a planned go-live in January 2027.
This project is a key Strategic Matrix objective and requires the coordination with multiple stakeholders across PSD, Sales (SS, Rail and Diversification), Finance, Engineering, Operations, super users and our implementation partner.
The successful candidate will act as the central point of communication and accountability, ensuring the project remains on schedule, risks are managed, stakeholders are aligned and key business decisions are managed to conclusion. You will lead the project through discovery, testing, training, go-live and aftercare.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Own and maintain the project plan, critical path, milestones and delivery timeline through to project closure.
- Coordinate activities, dependencies and communications across all business functions and external partners.
- Manage project governance, risks, issues and reporting.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and decision-making across Finance, Sales, Engineering and Operations.
- Drive key decisions relating to master data ownership, customer records, project numbering, data migration and document management.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning and go-live readiness activities.
- Manage the BC training programme, including super-user development, end-user training and post-go-live support.
- Facilitate Go/No-Go decision-making and oversee aftercare activities.
- Establish a continuous improvement approach and capture lessons learned.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics Business Central implementation projects.
- Strong project management experience within ERP, business transformation or systems implementation environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple business functions and third-party suppliers.
- Strong planning, organisation and risk management capabilities.
- Ability to challenge existing processes and drive operational improvements.
– Desirable, but not essential
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, technology or industrial sectors.
- Experience managing training, change management and user adoption programmes.
- Knowledge of data migration, master data governance and process design.
