Improving Electrical Integrity Management of Railway Signalling Power Distribution Networks.
Our proven technology was initially developed for harsh offshore environments in the subsea oil and gas sector as part of a Joint Industry Project (JIP) with supermajor operators, including BP, Shell, Chevron and Total.
In 2016, we were approached by UK rail network owner and infrastructure management company, Network Rail, who were experiencing similar electrical integrity issues in their signalling power supplies as those in the subsea oil and gas control systems. As a result, we developed CableGuardian for the railways. This unique product provides continuous monitoring of live signalling power supply systems at a cable section level without the need to power down the system, reducing the need for manual trackside fault-finding and maintenance costs.
Our innovative technology has been recognized across the UK rail industry, including being awarded the 2018 Intelligent Systems Innovation Award by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and 2019 Rail Innovations Award.
