Portishead based innovation and technology company, Viper Innovations has pledged its support to help “Turn The Tide Portishead” with their latest initiative to help reduce the amount of litter reaching our surrounding tidal water and coastlines.

Turn The Tide Portishead is a not for profit organisation run by a group of volunteers dedicated to reducing the plastic pollution of Portishead’s beautiful beaches through beach cleans and educational projects to reduce single use plastic. Viper Innovations has donated £1,000 to the organisation which will fund new solar-powered, compactor bins that will be located around Portishead Marina.  These new bins have the capacity to hold more waste than a standard litterbin and are designed to trap the rubbish when deposited reducing the need for litter picking and pollution.

In addition, Viper Innovations has also pledged to continue their support through engaging their employees to help with beach cleans and litter picking.
