RIA Annual Conference Platinum Sponsors Round Up

November 11, 2021

Viper Innovations were platinum sponsors and exhibitors at the Railway Industry Association’s Annual Conference, which took place last week at the Hilton London Bankside.

It was fantastic to be able to support this Rail Industry event and to see so many members and leading Industry figures taking part. It was an extremely interesting two days with many thought-provoking speakers and panel sessions.

One of the key takeaways from the event was the need to deliver on promises. We heard from the Rail Minister Chris Heaton-Harris, Network Rail Chief Exec, Andrew Haines, and other key decision-makers that we need to earn the right to funding and to be seen as a reliable delivery partner on everything we do if the industry is to attract the support and funding of the Government and private sector. We were fortunate enough to speak to both the Minister of State For Transport, Chris Heaton-Harris and Network Rail’s Chief Executive, Andrew Haines about Viper Innovations and our efforts to this end with our innovative technology.

Thank you to our guests, Derek Groves from S&T Cover and Ian Beavors from Andromeda, who joined the Viper table at the RISE awards evening dinner. These companies form part of our commitment to collaboration to ensure that we deliver our technology for the client in the most efficient way possible.

Congratulations to all the award winners, with special recognition to the winners of the ‘Unlocking Innovation Award’, Bristol-based One Big Circle Ltd and their AIVR system, which was presented by the host, Sameena Ali-Khan and Viper’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Peter Alexander.

We were delighted to have been part of the panel discussion on day two, with Viper’s Rail Development Specialist, John Lawrence, joining an esteemed panel on stage to discuss ‘The importance of collaboration to build back better’. We focused on the need to collaborate to maximise the return on investment at the highest level to deliver the train paths needed to get customers back on track and the need to change the way the industry buys technology to develop a vibrant export market for UK technology.

We were especially impressed by the candid discussion from Andrew Haines for the conference’s final session, who stopped by the Viper stand afterwards to learn about the benefits that Viper can offer the rail industry.
